About Laurie B., Personal Trainer
As a black belt in karate and a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), I have dedicated over 24 years to sports. Today, I apply this expertise to a mission that is close to my heart: helping seniors and people with limited mobility live healthier, longer lives.
I support people over 50 through tailored exercise classes offered at several senior living facilities (RPA) and community organizations in the region, as well as through private lessons with individuals.
Vision
As life expectancy increases and older adults make up more than 20% of the population, ageism—discrimination based on age and physical abilities—remains a significant issue.
In a society where health—both physical and mental—is a national priority, we recognize everyone’s right to maintain their health for as long as possible, throughout their entire life.
-

Health
In our view, health—both physical and mental—is a right. Recognizing the benefits of sports, we aim to contribute to programs and initiatives that promote healthy aging by offering tailored sports activities.
-

Inclusion
Contributing to the well-being of older adults and people with limited mobility means collectively contributing to the well-being of every individual throughout their lives.
-

Pleasure
By releasing hormones such as endorphins, dopamine, and adrenaline, physical activity acts as a natural antidepressant, helping to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and alleviate pain. Thus, beyond the sense of accomplishment, physical activity proves to be a source of enjoyment accessible to everyone!
“Promoting sports participation at every age, regardless of physical condition. My commitment: to host a free, multi-sport event every year that is open to everyone, in a spirit of intergenerational cooperation.”
